Air Search

group of people with a plane

The Grant County Air Search group was created to provide a first-response air search unit for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Aeronautics Division (now Oregon Department of Aeronautics).

The Air Search group's purpose is to assist in the location of downed aircraft, lost hunters and other missing persons, primarily in the Grant County area.

The goals of this group are to provide a viable air search unit, promote aviation safety and proficiency, and to provide social activities for the membership.

Fly-in & Breakfast

The group also assists in the annual GCRA Fly-In and Breakfast, held each year on the first Saturday in September following Labor Day.

Volunteer Service

The Air Search is an all-volunteer organization. Grant County Air Search is available whenever needed.
